Even a race interrupted twice and started from the last position on the grid wasn't enough to stop Fabio Quartararo. The French driver took home his sixth victory of the season, taking a 52 point lead over his direct pursuer, Jorge Navarro, an excellent second today. A very substantial advantage, which with just three heats left in the championship can be called a serious threat to the national title.

The race did not start under the best auspices for the leader of the general classification. At the start, the engine of his Honda suddenly stopped, forcing the entire category to reorganize the start. It was decided to shorten the race to 17 laps out of the 19 initially planned, with the Frenchman slipping from pole to last position as required by the regulations.
Ready, go and the young Moto3 talents set off again, but the race only lasted a few corners. An accident between Gabriel Rodrigo and Remy Gardner forces the race direction to display the red flag and a new restart, all while El Diablo was the author of a comeback in true Marc Marquez style: From forty-second to sixth.
Valentino Rossi's brother, Luca Marini, also fell in the early stages of the race and, "thanks" to the red flag, was able to regroup for the new start.

Fabio Quartararo also thanks the red flag. In fact, the regulation provides that the red flag cancels whatever happened before it: no more penalties for the Frenchman, who can therefore "reclaim" the pole position slot.

New slingshot start for the driver of the Estrella Galicia 0.0 junior team, who will then arrive first at the finish line with a three-second lead on Jorge Navarro, excellent second at the end of the 9 laps of the race.
All-Italian fight for third place on the podium: Stefano Manzi and Nicolò Bulega put on a show on the track, overtaking each other several times until, after yet another entry by Bulega, Manzi ended up in the sand, then falling to the ground. However, no contact between the two.
It therefore ends with the first career podium for the Calvo team driver, in the year of his debut.
Fourth and fifth place for Hiroki Ono and Andrea Migno.
Twenty-sixth place for Davide “Dadda” Pizzoli, while Gabriele Ruju placed thirty-first. Unfortunately, Luca Marini was out of the rankings, having crashed like Manzi during the eighth lap.

For the general classification, as already mentioned, Quartararo holds the title, which could close the game already during the next round in Portugal, with two heats to spare. Second is Jorge Navarro, followed by Ono (third) and the first of the Italians Andrea Migno, representative of the Aspar-VR46 team. Quinta Maria Herrera, who finished in sixth place today. To find the other Italians we have to go down to the eighth and ninth position, where we find Bulega and Manzi, at 53 and 41 points respectively. Last Italian in the standings is Luca Marini with only 16 points, seventeenth, while Pizzoli and Ruju remain at zero.

The next appointment with the CEV is, as mentioned, on the Algarve circuit, for the second and final stage outside Spain, on November 2nd.
