Brno, Troy Bayliss: 'We race to fight with the leaders, and I want to do it again'….

BAYLISS RETURNS TO THE TRACK AND DEBUT IN BRNO
Three weeks after his second podium in MotoGP, the former World Champion
of Superbike Troy Bayliss is ready to fight with the leaders again
in Brno. Third at the Spanish Marlboro GP last May and third again
at the Sachsenring, Troy hopes for the extraordinary power of his Desmosedici
let him climb to an even higher step on August 17th.

“We race to fight with the leaders, and I want to do it again,” says the always
affable Australian. “This is my first season in MotoGP
and it's going well, apart from a few setbacks. I expect a good one
result in Brno. It's nice to be able to race on a track I already know
a little, and I hope to adapt to this circuit even better than
test. It is a challenging track, very wide and smooth. Maybe it's similar
a bit like Mugello, even if the surface is not so irregular,
and I think it's very suitable for our bike.”

Like Capirossi, Bayliss is also very satisfied with the performance
of his Desmosedici, although obviously he is not satisfied. "I believe that,
at first, we took everyone by surprise,” he says. “Sure, there
There were also moments of crisis, but in the last few races I found something good
set-up, and now my feeling with the bike has improved. We have done
enormous progress in the initial stages of the project, introducing many changes
and trying out some important adjustments. Now we have reached a good position
basic, and let's take small steps forward: this is how we will have to proceed
to get to the next level of development. We constantly strive to
make the bike more rideable, and we think we will achieve this goal
in the next races.”
