After the excellent fourth place obtained in the first heat at the TT Circuit in Assen, a difficult race arrived for Xavi Fores in which the only Barni Racing Team driver was unable to go beyond 13th position.

Having made a great start from pole position thanks to the new regulations, the Spaniard held the lead of the group for the first lap but had a decidedly slower pace with his Panigale compared to yesterday, and quickly dropped back to ninth position.
Forés was then slowed down by Marco Melandri's fall: forced to brake so as not to hit the rider on the ground, he fell to thirteenth place.
The balance of the Dutch weekend is still positive for the Barni Racing Team which has collected 16 points for the championship standings in which Forés occupies seventh position with 60 points.

Marco Barnabò, Principal Manager: “Unfortunately today didn't go according to our expectations, this is racing. Xavi no longer had the same confidence with the bike. We made some small changes that we thought were improvements but that wasn't the case. The temperatures have changed compared to yesterday and this also had an impact. It was really a shame because the idea was to repeat yesterday's result, but Xavi did well to bring the race to the end and still collect precious points for the championship."

Xavi Fores: “Today was a much tougher race than I expected. After the feeling I had with the bike yesterday I hoped to be competitive, but we had problems that didn't allow me to push as I would have liked. However, from this weekend we take home yesterday's good result and today's start from pole position. In Imola we will try to achieve the same results and improve if possible."
