The TT Circuit Assen is a track that evokes good memories for the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team and Nicky Hayden, last year in fact both the American and his then teammate Van der Mark took the podium, which is why they both hope to make progress aboard the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2.

The season so far has not been easy at all for Honda, which started with the "handicap" of developing the new bike with which it was able to test little and instead immediately had to deal with real races.
For this reason, both riders, Hayden and Stefan Bradl, who arrived this year from MotoGP, will try to take advantage of all the opportunities that arise, including those that the typical variable weather in Assen will certainly provide, to collect precious points and have fun riding the Fireblade.
Despite a slower pace than their opponents, the Red Bull Honda riders are looking forward to the Acerbis Dutch Round with confidence.

“I can't wait to race in Assen. It's a historic track and it's the home track for the team, so after the difficulties experienced in Aragon almost a month ago, we'll try to have fun here" – he explained Nicky Hayden – “It's a very fast and smooth track and it goes down a lot at the last chicane, the point where many races are usually decided. As usual at this time of year, the weather plays a key role over the weekend: looking at the weather forecast it looks like it will be very changeable, so we need to take advantage of every condition and be ready for anything. Let's see what we can do: I hope we can get some good results that can make us happy."

“I'm looking forward to racing in Assen. It will be an important race not only for the team, but also for us drivers because it is a new round and our goal is to do better than the previous one" – he said Stefan bradl – “It's nice to be back on the bike; I hope the weather isn't too bad, to make the most of our time on the track and see how the bike goes on this track, which is very different to the others we've raced on this year. Hopefully we can take a step forward and we'll see how it goes."
