Walter Villa has died…….

He died in the night between Wednesday and Thursday at his home in
Four-time world motorcycling champion Walter Villa in Modena. A heart attack
it caught him in his sleep, at 0.30 am, and attempts to resuscitate him were useless
by the 118 operators, called by the pilot's wife, Milena,
and the subsequent rush to the city polyclinic.
Villa, 58 years old (he was born on 13 August 1943 in Castelnuovo Rangone, in the province
of Modena), was one of the protagonists of Italian motorcycling and
internationally between the early 70s and the mid-XNUMXs
'80: riding Harley Davidson he won the world class championship
250 in 1974, 1975 and 1976, when he also won the title in
350, and was nine times Italian champion.

After retiring he remained in the racing world, discovering among the
others the talent of Luca Cadalora. In recent years he had dedicated himself to preparation
of racing motorcycles. The body is exposed in the funeral home of
Modena polyclinic. The funeral will start from here on Saturday at 15.30pm
they will be celebrated in the church of Castelnuovo Rangone, where Walter Villa will be
buried.
