USA Superbike: First qualifying for Laverty
Just behind the surprise Canepa on Ducati
The first qualifying session at Laguna Seca also saw a tight classification with fourteen drivers within the space of a second.
The official Aprilia set the fastest time Eugene Laverty, followed by the excellent Ducati Alstare Niccolò Canepa and from Kawasaki's Tom Sykes, who evidently has already framed the circuit.
Fourth place for BMW Marco Melandri, chased by the RSV4 Red Devils of Toni Elias and from the Althea of David Giugliano.
The Frenchman from Noale was seventh Sylvain Guintoli, preceding the two Suzuki wild-cards Danny Eslick e Roger Hayden, and the leader of the free races Chaz Davies on S1000 RR.
Eleventh place for the other Panigale Ayrton Badovini, while the Honda Patas are still bad with Fabrizio e haslam thirteenth and fourteenth respectively. Loris Baz's replacement was fifteenth David Solomon.
