The Yamaha revolution is ready for Rossi

For Rossi the Yamaha revolution
His entire team emigrates with Valentino

Divorce from Honda made official, Valentino Rossi it's ready
to tie up with Yamaha. For the moment nothing is known about his contract with the House
of Iwata although it should be an agreement of at least two years for one
figure around ten million euros per season. The Pesaro native will bring with him
his almost complete team led by Jeremy Burgess. In place
The Brazilian should join Rossi's internal HRC team Alex Barros.

The thorniest issue to resolve, however, is the relative one
at the expiration of the contract that binds Rossi to Honda. The five-time champion
of the world, in fact, is bound to the Golden Wing until December 31st
next and only a "favor" from the Japanese leaders could bring it forward
Valentino's contact with his new motorbike. At the end of the Valencia race,
Rossi asked his former employers if he could be satisfied
and not having to wait until January to get on the heir to the M1. There
answer is linked to the name of the "Doctor"'s replacement. If it will be,
as now seems certain, Barros, then it is possible that there will be an exchange
on par. The South American rider, in fact, is still linked to Yamaha
for next year and would be vacated without paying the expected amount
penalty, in case Rossi is allowed to test the bike before the end
of the year. Not a small detail given that they are well aware of this at Yamaha
of having a long way to make up on the Honda (and also on the Ducati) and every day
available would prove invaluable in bridging the gap. Even because
Irta, the association of MotoGP teams, has decided to ban
each test between the Christmas holidays (until January 15th for the
precision). Leaving only then would be a further handicap.

The fact of having the same technicians who accompanied him at his disposal
in the three triumphs of recent years, however, it will certainly be an advantage
because it will allow Rossi to immediately concentrate on the (many)
problems that the four-cylinder of the “Tre Diapason” showed.
No problem of harmony, therefore, with the men of the new team to whom
Yamaha has decided to bring together new forces to focus everyone on Rossi
the efforts. In fact, there is a title to be won that has been missing since 1992,
when Wayne Rainey he graduated champion of the 500 class.

Rossi's teammate, who will probably wear the colors of the
Gauloises, will be the Spaniard Carlos Checa, fresh from another
vintage below expectations. With the Fortuna brand, however, they should
run Marco Melandri It is probably, Shynia Nakano.
