MotoGP – Mugello Qualifying – Dovizioso disappointed with the result

Andrea Dovizioso expected something more than the eighth time in qualifying for the Mugello Grand Prix. Unfortunately, the Repsol Honda Team rider was unable to repeat the second performance of free practice which had given him a lot of confidence: in any case, nothing is lost for the race and the rider from Forlì remains confident.

“In the morning we did a good job, we managed to improve compared to the first free practice session and we were fast. In the afternoon the track conditions worsened a little, it was hot and the modification we made to the bike did not give the desired results. I wasn't able to improve on the soft tire and the disadvantage compared to Pedrosa and Lorenzo increased. I'm sorry, I know that qualifying is an aspect that I need to improve. However, I remain confident because I plan to compete in the race."
