MotoGP – Motegi – Official qualifying canceled due to rainMotoGP – Motegi – Official qualifying canceled due to rain

Rain is once again the protagonist in the MotoGP. After the postponement of the inaugural race in Losail to Monday, today the official qualifying sessions of the three classes (MotoGP, 250, 125) at the Twin Ring in Motegi were canceled due to the track being unusable, with the starting grid determined by the results of the two previous sessions of free trials.

In MotoGP it will therefore be Valentino Rossi who will start from pole position after the best time in yesterday's dry asphalt tests, ahead of Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo. In 250 Marco Simoncelli will start in front of everyone, while Andrea Iannone got the better of the eighth liter class.

Three Italian drivers to take pole at Motegi, with good weather forecast for the following day, with rainfall expected only in the order of 30%.
