Dani Pedrosa underwent successful surgery in Barcelona on his left knee and arm. The Team Honda Repsol rider was injured during the MotoGP night tests in Qatar and therefore missed the third and final day of testing. Pedrosa entered the operating room at 19.30pm to be operated on by Dr. Bartolomé Ferreira, specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and by Dr. Xavier Mir, head of the Surgery Unit. The total operation lasted 3 hours.

According to Dr. Ferreira, the wound should hopefully heal within three weeks at most and the patient will be able to start making light movements within four weeks.

Dr. Xavier Mir performed an arthroscopy instead, fixing the fracture in the hand with a titanium screw. Functional recovery will begin within ten days. Pedrosa will be discharged within the next 72 hours.
