Max Biaggi's comment at the end of the second day of testing in Motegi….

Max Biaggi's comment after qualifying in Motegi:

"Today I was the only one, together with Kato, not to improve my time
and I'm... very happy. I'm actually not happy about breaking up
the engine fifteen minutes from the end of the tests but, trying to be objective,
I realize that I have been fortunate to have maintained my position in the
line-up, of being able to return to the pits with the bike when it was
broken and thus being able to drive at least a little with the second gear and,
finally, that I had this problem today and not tomorrow during the race. In the early stages
during the official trials I worked a lot on the race distance, always using
the bike with the new frame. With twenty minutes to go, when it was time to
giving it my all, I went out and managed to make just three corners before
to break. At this point I jumped on the second bike but I knew it was unlikely
I could have done better than yesterday. However I was surprised that no one has
neither the pole nor my time improved. Tomorrow we will leave with a
all new engine and we will check the last things in the warm up. The race will be
very tough: I see at least three riders, besides me, who can stay in front. Not
you will be able to run away and not even do a waiting race risking that
the others leave you behind. The pace will be much faster than the year
last and in my opinion the overall time of the race will be at least ten seconds
lower. I think you will see a good race."
