CAPIROSSI (1'33”4) AND BAYLISS (1'33”5) VERY FAST WITH THE
FIRST MODIFICATIONS 2004. OPTIMISM AND SATISFACTION IN THE TEAM

The exhilarating debut season for the has just ended Ducati
Marlboro Team, but it is not yet holiday time for the pilots and
technicians ofred cars from Borgo Panigale".

Precisely the Valencia track, the scene of the last test last Sunday
of the championship (where Loris Capirossi once again brought a Desmosedici
on the podium), saw the Ducati Marlboro Team involved in two days of testing
aimed at preparing for the 2004 season and linked to analysis
of the excellence and criticality of the 2003 bike.

Both Capirossi and Bayliss went through a series of tests, using the
moto 2003, but already with a series of important updates.
Both riders took to the track, both yesterday and today, using the same one
type of tires used on Sunday. The climatic conditions are also identical,
this fact allowed us to have an extremely probative and truthful comparison
with what happened on the day of the race.
The result only increases the optimism and confidence of the team, which
aims for a 2004 of confirmation and further satisfaction.

The times recorded by Loris and Troy were both important and significant
the drivers significantly lowered the times set last Sunday,
running at a constant and fast pace during the two days of testing.
Capirossi completed 47 laps yesterday and 33 today, including the
race simulation carried out just this afternoon. Best time made
recorded by the Italian driver was 1'33”'4 (in
race his best time was 1'33.89).
Bayliss was equally fast, causing the clock to stop
his best time was 1'33”5, significantly improving the time set
Sunday (1'34”65). 62 laps completed by the Australian yesterday,
with race simulation, while today he completed 59.
Extremely satisfied pilots and technicians, whose objective was to verify
some evolutions on the bike mainly intended to increase handling
of the bike, especially on a challenging and tortuous circuit like this
of Valencia.

The Ducati Marlboro Team still has two test sessions scheduled first
of the end of the year, from 24 to 26 November in Jerez and from 10 to 12 December
again in Valencia.
