Alberto Puig “Simoncelli is a danger”

Alberto Puig “Simoncelli is a danger”Alberto Puig “Simoncelli is a danger”

Alberto Puig is a river in flood after his pupil Dani Pedrosa suffered a fracture of his right collarbone after a contact with Marco Simoncelli. The Spanish manager uses harsh words towards the Team Gresini rider who according to him should be disqualified for this incorrect manoeuvre. The word is up to him.

“It was wrong to carry out these manoeuvres, given what happened, not much more can be said. It's a disaster, the images speak for themselves, we've said for a long time that Simoncelli is a danger and I think he's truly ignorant, I don't understand anything, but I can't say much more, now the damage has been done. Dani (Pedrosa) broke his collarbone again, we wasted another season. There's not much else to say, it's absolutely scandalous. I hope his team realizes what a person Simoncelli is. It's not the first time he's done this and he was also warned in Estoril; Lorenzo spoke to him but he seems to ignore everyone. It's serious, it's an incorrect maneuver. And then, I think a person fell and got hurt, I think there's nothing funny about it. I was asked if the penalty was fair. The only thing I'm interested in now is bringing Dani (Pedrosa) home and seeing what we can do. But the real problem is exclusively this boy (Simoncelli), he doesn't seem to understand anything, he is absolutely ignorant."

Simoncelli honestly did his job, GET ON THE GAS!
If someone doesn't understand when it's time to remove it, it's not Marco's fault.
Marco, continue with your determination! Girls go skating!

Today's episode should be cautioned only for the fact that poor Pedrosa was injured, otherwise analyzing the replays I believe that both are to blame, Pedrosa arrived decidedly long and was not able to bend the bike, however regarding these comments from the Spaniards they make me understand only one thing that Simoncelli is scary not because of his aggressive riding but because he is very fast, and the only one who is with Stoner, he still lacks a bit of experience, and drivers like Lorenzo try to demolish him psychologically, when it comes to aggressive overtaking he is the last person who should talk, even today he gave a small taste of it on Dovizioso. As for Pedrosa I justify it by the fact that he is injured!!!

    Come on Sic hold on!!!!!!!

    Hello everyone

great sic…………you are the only one who gives gas and entertainment in this period….you would be better off on a superbike……

if Vale and Sic moved to SBK, goodbye to MotoGP right away... for me they could close. Stoner Lorenzo and poor Pedrosa could put on a show doing the time trials but the races are something else and for this reason they are exciting….
I wrote it in various comments that Sic is not to blame, he broke away and turned, leaving room for his opponent who was in difficulty, probably long because he saw himself being overtaken and didn't set his course, in fact he got out of control (out of fear) with his rear...
I am shocked that there is none of the authorities who agree with this. Cereghini&co all condemned it almost as if they were afraid of going against the prevailing thought. The only cautious one is Vale who said he wanted to see the videos before giving a definitive judgement.

the sic is showing everyone that he is a great driver - hats off - but yesterday he made a hat and ruined the innocent pedrosa (poor guy).

here it is not a question of overtaking at the limit of hull against hull or anything else but of a real trip.

sic 10 as a throttle, but 4 as a head.
Let's hope that after yesterday's episode he understands.

We can't read what you write.... Dani didn't get far at all, Simoncelli is a loose cannon unfortunately for him and for us Italians who don't make a good impression on ourselves.
Let's hope it serves as a lesson for him for the next races, also because he has proven to be very strong (misteriusman: where do you see him going like Stoner...). he just needs to be a little more concrete.

  • Nico said:

Pui speaks... the one who gives him the wrong times and pushes him beyond what is necessary and makes him crash to the ground with a broken arm\hand... it's incredible how many people turn out at the MotoGP...

  • Roddypics said:

Ok to cheer for the Italians but…. It must be admitted that yesterday Simoncelli made it really dirty

In the shots from behind you can clearly see how he clearly closed the trajectory in Pedrosa's face, clearly, late, without leaving him an escape

The long-haired guy has the makings of a champion but not yet the head of a champion...he should think more and use less animal instinct

Sissies? Pedrosa is someone who has raced even with surgical operations he had had recently, if this is a girl then we are all girls in the world. The truth is that that overtaking was incorrect, it cut him off, you can't overtake that way, even Valentino Rossi said it as he understands about overtaking. Simoncelli is a fast rider, he is a talent, and I think it's not unfair, but he simply doesn't understand the limits on the track, and believe me, this is a serious thing, it means being a danger. And he says he didn't do anything serious? It's a real danger, he has to learn the limit when overtaking and respect for the opponent, if everyone drove WHILE OVERTAKING like he does, it would be a jungle, far from the world championship. Imagine if he threw Valentino Rossi to the ground, at the very least Simoncelli would have to retire from competitive activity and at the very least Rossi would report him. Come on guys, a little reality, let's not be hypocritical and mediocre in the comments.

It's clear why Pedrosa picked up the bike.. HE CAME A LONG WAY!!! The images are clear!!! IF SIMONCELLI WASN'T THERE HE WOULD PASS STRAIGHT OUT!! and luckily he didn't hit the mark on supersic...he simply didn't accept that simoncelli was so much faster than him and when he saw himself overtaken he pulled like a cogxxne, widening on the straight which almost threw out supermiticoSIC and arriving with the bike all messed up and jumping braking...how cowardly to blame sic..you should just be ashamed...and cry like only pedrosa can do...and this puig was saying when pedrosa knocked hyden down while fighting for the world championship??? no disqualification?? no drive through??? and stoner who kicks and punches??? and Lorenzo on where at the start of the race?? Spaniards go racing with mimimotos!!! Pedrosa next year in moto3!!!

Okay, apart from the idiocies of Dani's manager, the only one who commented on what happened with his head was Valentino, “Sic. he wasn't smart enough to resist at that point because he could have easily passed the next lap, he made the wrong tactic..." then consider that Dani was now in front of him, it was clear that two of them couldn't take that corner, if I have to assign responsibilities 80% fault of Sic. 20% Dani…

  • dario said:

yes Puig, now they make the lanes with athletics so they don't touch Pedrosa. Dear smart guy Sic may have exaggerated a bit but Pedrosa didn't want to be overtaken, it's a shame he didn't turn while Sic yes...everyone sees what they want...Pedrosa is good but he will never win a Moto GP world championship, he doesn't have the balls …Come on Sic!! Maybe next time wait for the next curve though...

  • umbi said:

yesterday I saw the race ok Marco Simoncelli made an incorrect maneuver but from that episode to the disqualification it seems a bit exaggerated to me dear Puig, in any case good luck to Pedrosa and I hope to see him back on the track fighting soon.

    HELLO AND GO VALIA!

  • mister said:

no guys, it's fine to cheer for the Italians and for the sic, but parochialism has nothing to do with this... anyway the words of the innocent Pedrosa say it all:

I was having a good race, our goal was the podium and I knew it was within our reach – explained the Honda rider – But it was of no avail. In the duel with Simoncelli, he passed me, I passed him again and was in line when he "closed the door" on me and I couldn't do anything. I leave Le Mans with a broken collarbone, he with the ride through penalty, good for him! Once again, I got the worst of it. We had just come out of the nightmare of the last operation and now I'm injured again. It's not fair and I don't deserve it."

  • Simo said:

if simoncelli was to be penalized for a hard overtaking then stoner should have started at the back of the group for the warm up punch, a MUCH more serious gesture. I am of the opinion that overtaking is questionable, if Lorenzo had done it he wouldn't be been penalized. yesterday the sic made the wrong maneuver at the wrong time.

  • Simo said:

Obviously I'm sorry for Pedrosa, but I think he also has some responsibility in the contact.

  • mauro said:

sorry but where is the incorrect maneuver?????
he got to the outside he delayed braking (great) he passed him in the corner (great) pedrosa touched his wheel...sic he didn't pass over him because he couldn't set the curve anymore after the great overtaking he l 'He set it up flawlessly, probably Pedrosa didn't even see it....well now if anyone wants sterile races without overtaking, let's have a restling-type championship, everyone agree on what to do and go...the fact is that Pedrosa got hurt, otherwise there won't be any there would have been problems... both Lorenzo and Puig should go to hell

  • stefy said:

No one doubts that Sic has great talent, but to be a true champion you need to have the head and a strong sense of self-criticism. From the video from behind you can clearly see that Marco closed the road to Pedrosa who was now in front of him. There were 10 laps to go, he could have attacked later. To err is human, but when you have a racing car under your butt that goes over 200km per hour you can't afford to do certain things, you have to evaluate any risks. I'm sorry for Pedrosa who is a clean and correct rider, never controversial and who was doing great. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope Marco has learned a lesson, he is young and he can do a lot, but he still needs to mature.

PUIG SHOULD ASK HIMSELF WHETHER A DRIVER WHO FALLS AN OPPONENT IN THE RACE IS WORSE OR A MANAGER WHO MAKES HIM FALL (WITH FRACTURES IN HIS HAND) BECAUSE HE GIVES HIM THE WRONG GAPs...
    YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED

if simoncelli is a danger pedrosa in 2006 al'estoril... what a dick he was but since it's pedrosa it's fine..

  • danikawa said:

PUIG WHINY SPANISH...YOU SPANIARDS ARE PIPES (Lorenzo in fact "parafuera" they gave him this nickname by chance) STOP IT... THE SIC is a BIG 20 kilos of ballast in Pedrosa... then let's see how many overtakings he does... ABSOLUTE ZERO.

SCARY... the Spaniards are scared... here's the truth.

SIC TAKE the notice of the penalty and print it on the sides... and then before a Spaniard comes to talk to you you tell him... first read the penalty imposed on me and then I can also give you a hearing.. inferior. and put a sign on the windshield: "WITHOUT HE WHO DOESN'T BEND!"

Given that I have always considered Sic to be a bit of a Capirossi-like geek and that although Marco was NOT INCORRECT, he was actually WRONG, I believe that there are some truly scandalous facts:

1- LORENZO: accuses Sic even before it commits the slightest mistake, which asks for justice from the relevant bodies, but where are we, at ASYLUM? But who does he think he is? Should Rossi have been penalized at Motegi last year? Or at Laguna Seca, in 2008? Evidently Jorge thinks so.
The problem is that he wants to impose his "discipline" on the other TOUGHEST RIDERS WHOM HE IS AFRAID OF, i.e. Sic and Rossi!...The good thing is that he obviously takes it out on those who can afford it, because Valentino (fortunately) much more difficult to attack, given his charisma. In simple words he is behaving like a MAFIAMAN!

2- PUIG: I understand his frustration, but Dani probably could have left Marco in front, without forcing the braking, or (since he was on the inside) crashed harder than the Italian. Here the attitude of the Spanish manager appears more understandable, and certainly his driver did NOT deserve such an injury... having said that, Sic's maneuver WAS NOT WORSE THAN THE ONE THAT ELIAS DID 3 YEARS AGO ON ROSSI... so I am things that can happen.
