A few hours before the race that will decide the 2009 world champion Marco Simoncelli achieved the best time in the Valencia Warm Up. The driver from Coriano preceded Alvaro Bautista and Hiroshi Aoyama in the standings, leading the championship with a 21 point advantage over the Gilera driver.

There is a gap of almost 3 tenths between Simoncelli and Aoyama, while Hector Barbera is fourth ahead of another Italian rider, Raffaele De Rosa, riding the second Honda of the Scot team.

Mattia Pasini is tenth, Roberto Locatelli is 14th with Alex Baldolini immediately behind, 15th. Alex Debon, who crashed yesterday in official qualifying after winning pole position, tried to lap in the Valencia Warm Up.

Unfortunately for him, his physical conditions do not seem to be able to allow him to run the last race in the history of the 250 class, even if he will decide only a few minutes before the start (scheduled for 12).
