For Yuki Takahashi the Japanese GP is naturally the most important event of the season and it is in Motegi that he announces his plans for next season. After two years of 'Honda schooling' within the Humangest Racing Team, the team managers said they were more than satisfied with the work done by the Japanese driver: the first season was for Yuki to adapt both to the team and to the new tracks, while this year he was able to demonstrate his excellent potential as a winning driver by winning two grand prix, the first at Le Mans right in front of his teammate Andrea Dovizioso and the second on the Sachsenring circuit in Germany, after an incredible comeback and an arrival at the photo-finish with De Angelis. The continuous growth of the Japanese rider and the excellent relationship within the team convinced the management of the Humangest Racing Team to renew Yuki's contract, who will be one of the protagonists of the MotoGP in the coming seasons.

Cirano Mularoni – Humangest Racing Team

“The results that Yuki Takahashi has managed to achieve so far astride the Honda RSW of the Humangest Racing Team have convinced both the team and the sponsors to renew the contract for next season and therefore be able to continue the work done in the last two seasons. Yuki, in addition to being a very competitive driver, has also been able to create an excellent relationship with the team. We are very satisfied with having reached the agreement with Yuki, we believe a lot in his potential and we are convinced that in 2007 he will be able to obtain even more prestigious results than this year"

“In this period I have also been contacted by several teams to move up a category and go to MotoGP, but I think it is too early for me. After completing the two years of 'Honda schooling', my priority was to stay with Honda and race the factory bike. Before arriving in Malaysia I still didn't know what my future would be, so when I had the meeting with the managers of the Humangest Racing Team in Sepang, I was really happy to receive the offer to renew my contract, because I feel very comfortable good with the team. This year has been a difficult year, especially after the crash in Suzuka; I improved a lot compared to last year, I managed to adapt to the bike and I also perfected my riding style, trying to lean less away from the bike; by doing this I was able to be more competitive, but I know I have some margin and can do even better. I am very happy with the relationship I managed to create with the team and with Andrea Dovizioso, who I hope will remain with us next year too! I am also satisfied with the support received from HRC in these last two years, but from now on I have to stand on my own two feet and the fact of having signed this contract makes me very proud. I want to thank Honda, HRC, the team sponsor and all the people who have been close to me for everything they have done for me. Thank you with all my heart!"

Mr Satoru Horiike – Managing Director HRC

“HRC has been very satisfied with Takahashi's performances since he won the 'Honda Racing Scholarship' in 2004 and since he made his debut in the World Championship. We want to thank the Humangest Racing Team for the help and support they gave Yuki to further improve his racing skills during his two-year stay with the team. We thank both the team and Yuki for his hard work on behalf of HRC and wish him further success this season and in 2007."
