Hector Faubel set the best time in the second free practice session of the MotoGP in Motegi, home of the Polini Grand Prix of Japan. The Valencia CF – Honda SAG rider stopped the clock at 2'07"824, preceding Karel Abraham on the wet asphalt, second at 281 thousandths, and Mike Di Meglio, third on the Mapfre Aspar Aprilia after having achieved the podium at debut in the quarter liter at Motegi.

In fourth position stands out Marco Simoncelli, who was however the protagonist of a crash without further physical repercussions: the world champion, driver of the Metis Gilera, will be regularly on track for the official qualifying.

It must be said that in addition to the Romagna native, Mattia Pasini (Team Toth Aprilia) is also at the top of the Italians, fifth ahead of Alex Baldolini (WTR San Marino Team). Raffaele De Rosa and Roberto Locatelli were further behind, 15th after a crash like other riders (including Alex Debon and Axel Pons).
