250 cc – Sachsenring FP2 – Pedrosa dictates the law
Dani Pedrosa not only achieved the best time in the second free practice session of the 250 class German GP, but he dictated the law by inflicting heavy gaps on his opponents. The little rider from Sabadel in fact lapped his Honda in 1'25"297, trailing Alex De Angelis by 443 thousandths, who was on provisional pole yesterday, and Sebastian Porto on the Team Aspar Aprilia by 559 thousandths.
Fourth and fifth times for the two Fortuna Honda Team riders Hector Barbera (+698) and Jorge Lorenzo (+818). Behind the two Spaniards, two other Hondas, those of Hiroshi Aoyama and Yuki Takahashi.
Followed by the Australian Casey Stoner (Aprilia + 969), the Forlì Andrea Dovizioso (Honda + 1"051), the Donington Park winner Randy De Puniet (Aprilia + 1"167) and Roberto Locatelli (Aprilia + 1"415). KTM performed well at its 2nd GP, Anthony West is in fact 12th with a gap of 1"524.
The other Italians are Simone Corsi (15th), Alex Baldolini (16th), Mirko Giansanti (19th), Andrea Ballerini (24th) and Gabriele Ferro, 34th with Fantic Motor.
