Great battle on the second day of qualifying for the 250 class in Brno. The riders competed until the last second and the Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo came out on top by just 3 thousandths of a second (2'02"261). The Team Honda Fortuna rider born in 1987 and native of Palma De Majorca preceded his compatriot and reigning champion Dani Pedrosa who tried until the checkered flag. For Lorenzo it is the third pole of the season and above all a personal revenge on Pedrosa after the contact at Sachsenring which saw him as an unfortunate protagonist with a fall without physical consequences.

Behind the two Spaniards are the Australian Casey Stoner on the Aprilia of Team Carrera Sunglasses and the Forlì Andrea Dovizioso who closes the front row. The Team Scot driver is only 232 thousandths behind and tomorrow he could be among the protagonists of a race that sees 8 drivers within eight tenths.

The second row is opened by the Frenchman Randy De Puniet who precedes the Aprilia of Sebastian Porto, that of Alex De Angelis and the Honda of Hiroshi Aoyama. Followed by the Japanese Takahashi, the French Guintoli and the Bergamo Roberto Locatelli who is 1'590 behind the pole.
