On the third and final day of testing of the eighth-liter bike in Jerez de la Frontera Julian Simon confirmed himself as the fastest. The Team Bancaja Aspar rider has been the fastest since Wednesday and today stopped the clock at a time of 1:47.318. Following him is his teammate Bradley Smith who lapped in 1:47.420 and who in turn preceded Sandro Cortese (Ajo Interwetten – 1:47.547) and ours (Andrea Iannone – Ongetta Team Ispa – 1:47.550). The driver from Vasto has always shown himself to be fast in these tests and is a candidate as one of the protagonists of the 2009 season.

Behind Iannone we find teammate Takaaki Nakagami, Nicolas Terol (Jack & Jones Team – 1:47.863), Marc Marquez (Red Bull Ktm Motorsports – 1:47.969), Pol Espargaro (Derbi Racing Team – 1:48.077) and Stefan Bradl (Viessmann Kiefer Racing – 1:48.142).
