Fabrizio Lai, Seedorf Racing rider, crashed during the second free practice session of the 125cc at Motegi. At a speed of 160 km/h, the Milanese took a bad blow to his back, also losing sensation in his legs for a few moments. A terrible crash that could prevent him from racing tomorrow, where also thanks to yesterday's weather he would have started in eleventh position.

“I went off the track at over 150 km per hour and took a terrible blow to my back”, says Fabrizio Lai. “I remember practically nothing about the accident. For a while I lost the use of my legs. Luckily, while I was undergoing the CT scan, little by little, I started to feel my toes again and I calmed down a little. Now I'm quite well although obviously it hurts all over. I hope I can have a quiet night. Only tomorrow morning will the doctors at the Mobile Clinic, having assessed my condition, decide whether I can race... I really hope so, especially if there is a wet race"
