Confirming the times shown in free practice, Julian Simon obtained his sixth pole position of the season on the Bancaja Aspar Team Aprilia. In Estoril, the leader of the championship standings, who could win his first world title tomorrow, will start from the pole on the front row ahead of Pol Espargaro (Derbi), Bradley Smith (Aprilia) and Marc Marquez (KTM).
