125cc – Estoril QP1 – Sixth pole for Julian Simon
Confirming the times shown in free practice, Julian Simon obtained his sixth pole position of the season on the Bancaja Aspar Team Aprilia. In Estoril, the leader of the championship standings, who could win his first world title tomorrow, will start from the pole on the front row ahead of Pol Espargaro (Derbi), Bradley Smith (Aprilia) and Marc Marquez (KTM).
Fifth time for Stefan Bradl, who will start from fifth position ahead of Nico Terol, his compatriot Sandro Cortese and Simone Corsi, eighth and first among the Italians. Back Andrea Iannone, only not, slipped on the last attempt and was unable to restart.
The other Italians are behind with Lorenzo Zanetti 22nd, Luca Marconi 29th and Luca Vitali last on the grid, over 6" from the top of the standings.
