Winter Test Jerez: Good feelings for Mercado

Leandro Mercado carried out the first of two days of testing in Jerez de la Frontera yesterday, Wednesday 1 February, with his new team and was satisfied with the work carried out, despite the rain complicating the morning session.
The Argentine had already ridden with Iodaracing in Portimao last weekend, so this is the second test for him, the last before flying to Australia for the season opener.

Mercado continued the process of adapting to the RSV4 Aprilia, on a track where he has always had good sensations and where in the past he has also achieved a podium in the STK1000.

“Today was a good day for us” – he explained Market – “Despite the morning we were unable to do anything, because the track was wet. When I went in to test, it was after lunchtime, the asphalt was still a little damp and it wasn't the best, then towards the end of the day we ran well. The positive thing is that I managed to do a lot today, I'm starting to understand the behavior of the bike and for this reason we managed to make several changes. My feeling has grown, even though I know there is still a lot of work missing, but I feel we are going in the right direction. I'm starting to be able to push more and I feel better and better riding the Aprilia. For tomorrow I hope to find better weather and the track is already dry to continue my work on getting together with the bike."
