Tohru Ukawa outperforms everyone in Friday's free practice in Portugal

The best in Friday's free practice was Tohru Ukawa, who with his 1:40.830 left behind an excellent Carlos Checa, just 66 thousandths of a second behind, and his teammate Valentino Rossi, 4th, less than 1 tenth behind.

Loris Capirossi also did very well, taking third place with a delay of 78 thousandths from the Japanese.

However, Biaggi isn't shining, only 8th, who for now has a gap of 7 tenths.
