At the Chang International Circuit, Aruba Racing Ducati regains the top step of the podium with Chaz Davies, author of an authoritative Race2 in which he managed to get the better of the two Yamahas of Michael Van der Mark and Alex Lowes, in great form today .

For Ducati this is the third victory out of four races held so far: Davies' Panigale was for very large stretches the fastest bike on the track, allowing the Welshman to easily recover from seventh position on the starting grid and also attempt a mini- escape to the detriment of the two R1s.

For Van der Mark and Lowes, after three somewhat muted races, a solid race finally arrived in which they were able to show the potential of a bike that had really impressed in the winter tests, only to then "hide" in the first three outings officials of the season.

In fourth place we find Jonathan Rea: today was not an easy day for the World Champion: if Race1 left the feeling that his victory was more the result of his talent than the superiority of the bike, the second race confirmed it.
For long stretches the Ninja was in difficulty compared to its rivals, not only in terms of speed, but also in terms of mileage and stability: Rea managed to grab a fifth place but Tom Sykes had to retire due to technical problems.

Rea obtained the position in the final stages of the race to the detriment of Xavi Fores, who after yesterday's splendid podium suffered some problems on his Panigale: fifth place however allows the Spaniard to arrive at the European races in third place in the standings world champion, with 60 points.

Sixth position for Leon Camier with the CBR Honda: today the Englishman was not as effective as in Race1 and paid the price for a few too many mistakes.

At Ducati there is regret for Marco Melandri who had to face glaring grip and stability problems in both races which did not allow him to battle with his rivals, relegating him to seventh place: the rider from Ravenna is now second in the world championship standings with two points from Rea.

The top ten is completed by the young and talented rider of the Puccetti Kawasaki team, Ragazioglou, by Lorenzo Savadori who managed to complete a very good race despite the after-effects of the shoulder fracture suffered in Australia, and by PJ Jacobsen with the CBR of Triple T team.

Finally, a big scare for Eugene Laverty, who suffered a bad fall about halfway through the race: the Aprilia rider is now undergoing medical checks in the infirmary.

The Championship will now return to Europe with the Aragon Round from 13 to 15 April: we will therefore see what the effects of the new regulation will be, glimpsed in Australia and Thailand, with more technical and difficult tracks where the differences between the bikes have always emerged more .
