USA Superbike: Melandri “I want to win again in the next events”
The BMW rider from Ravenna finished third in Race 2
Race 2 at Laguna Seca did not fully smile for the team BMW Motorrad GoldBet out after just four rounds with Davies, but at least on the podium with Melandri.
“Today was a fairly positive day although not easy due to the difficulties with the front which took me longer to catch up with the riders in front – Marco's comment – I want to thank the team because they did an excellent job. The goal until the end of the season is to return to winning ways."
“It was frustrating because I could have been in the game – said Chaz – The bike was working very well and I could have won, but unfortunately the braking system failed which was replaced after the crash in the warm-up. During the alignment I felt that something wasn't working, then it seemed to have settled and instead on the second or third lap the problem recurred. Basically I had no brakes, so it was safer to stop. The boys will now check what happened."
