Superbike: A great Melandri in Race 1

Great emotions in Race 1 in Jerez de la Frontera with the two RSV4s dominating the heat and taking home an important double in terms of the championship.

Guintoli gets off to a good start and immediately burns everyone out, while Tom Sykes finds himself having to manage a difficult race and loses a lot of ground: after the first laps he is actually seventh, also under investigation for a contact with Giugliano at the start.

However, Marco Melandri's pace is irresistible as he follows the leaders from fourth position.
It practically happens from the eleventh to the fifteenth lap, when Davide Giugliano and Loris Baz fall, ruining his race in an attempt to resist Melandri.
In the final stages we witness the great sprint from the Italian Aprilia rider who first catches up and then overtakes his teammate for the final victory.
Chaz Davies completes the podium for the joy of Ducati while Tom Sykes loses the battle for fourth place to Jonathan Rea.
