Superbike: Tom Sykes is the fastest in the Portimao Warm Up

The Englishman wants to take advantage of Rea's mistake in qualifying but his teammate won't stand by and watch: he takes the second time ahead of Torres

For Tom Sykes today could be an important day: his teammate Jonathan Rea will in fact start from eighth position on the grid due to the crash in qualifying and he, who instead will start immediately behind Giugliano, could take advantage of this to try to recover something in the rankings.

That he perhaps has the best race pace of all is also demonstrated by the best time set in this morning's Warm Up, but with second place Rea makes it clear that a comeback is not impossible for him and with this Ninja anything can happen.

Jordi Torres after yesterday's bad qualifying, the qualifying tire is now becoming a nightmare for him, he wants to do well in the race: the pace is there, the speed and the feeling with the track as well, given that we find him immediately behind the Kawasaki couple.
Fourth time for teammate Leon Haslam, not yet 100% but cannot therefore be excluded a priori from the fight for the podium, as Rea rightly said on Friday.
In fifth and sixth position we find the Panigales of Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano who worked more on the set-up for the race than on the search for the pure time trial.

Curiously this morning in the different teams the times traveled "in pairs": with the seventh and eighth time readings we find two other teammates, Sylvain Guintoli and Michael van der Mark with the CBR Pata Hondas.

Completing the top-10 are Alex Lowes, who unlike Torres seems to be more comfortable with qualifying tires given the two good Tissot-Superpole heats held yesterday, and Leandro Mercado for the Barni Racing team.

Appointment at 11:30 live on Italia 1 and Italia 2 with the start of Race 1.
