The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team was involved in two days of testing, Tuesday 31 May and Wednesday 1 June, at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, theater of the next round of the World Championship, from 17 to 19 June, which for the manufacturer of Borgo Panigale will be the second in front of his own audience.

For Davies and Giugliano it was a useful test both to better prepare for the eighth round and to continue the development of the chassis and electronics in view of the second half of the season, with the aim of getting even closer to the Kawasaki: with 105 and 108 laps respectively, the two drivers worked hard to improve the race setup, with an eye on performance with used tyres.
However, the rain that fell on Wednesday after the lunch break prevented the long runs from taking place, despite this both riders said they were satisfied and confident ahead of the Pirelli Riviera di Rimini Round.
To conclude, Chaz Davies recorded his best pass in 1'35.485, while Giugliano came very close to him in (1'35.510.

“After many races, it seemed like a really long time had passed since the last tests. It was undoubtedly positive to have two days available to carry out various tests that we cannot do during a race weekend” – he commented Chaz Davies – “It's a shame that the weather took away a few hours of track time, but we found a couple of good solutions that should represent a further step forward in our basic setup and this is the most important thing. At this point of the season all the opponents are able to be fast right from the first rounds, even if they were certainly useful tests also to arrive at the next race better prepared. Last year Misano wasn't an easy weekend for us, and we hope to do it again in a few weeks."

“We tested some ideas, especially in terms of electronics, which turned out to be quite successful. It is always important to be able to do in-depth tests on the basic setup, because during races you only focus on pure speed, and I am convinced that we have taken another step in the right direction” – he said David Giugliano – “I also tried a thumb-operated rear brake control with good sensations, although logically I still have to get the hang of it. In the last few races we have been progressively faster, and now the next goal is to do an entire weekend without any drops in performance. Unfortunately the rain made us close the shutters early, but they were two important and constructive days in view of the Misano race."
