Excellent debut for Davide Giugliano and the Althea Racing Aprilia Team in the two days of pre-season testing in Jerez.

Both team and rider approached the new bike for the first time and the results were more than satisfactory.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, Giugliano managed to record the best time on the first day and the second on the second: not bad considering that both the driver and the Team hadn't been on track since the Magny Cours race last October.

Here are the statements of Davide Giugliano and Team Manager Genesio Bevilaqua at the end of these first two days with Aprilia:

Davide Giugliano:
“I'm happy with how these two days of testing went here in Jerez. I hadn't been on a motorbike for months and I couldn't wait to get on the track with my new RSV4, with which I immediately found a good feeling, both yesterday in the wet and today in the dry. Having set excellent lap times makes me happy, but I am even happier because in a short time I was able to understand the character of this bike. Of course there is still a lot of work to do and I will need more time to exploit all the great potential of the RSV4, but I think I couldn't have started better, thanks also to my team who did a great job."

Genesio Bevilacqua:
“We leave Jerez very satisfied and comforted by results that go beyond our expectations. I liked the desire with which Davide and the team approached these two days of testing. We were all eager to get back on track after a long break and to compete with a bike that had impressed us with its great performance last year. Davide immediately found the right feeling with the RSV4, so much so that he set the best time yesterday and the second today. The whole team worked well and we are also happy with the work we are doing with the Aprilia engineers. I think that here in Jerez we have rediscovered that spirit and desire to emerge that in the past has allowed us to achieve great results."

It was known that he was fast, especially in the wet, but if he also became intelligent, in a sporting sense of course, he could be the real surprise of this year! Come on Genesio, let your pupil suck a few matches, we'll be able to give gas think for yourself!!!!!

SAME THING AS CLAUDIO CORTI... lots of throttle and little head (so much f***)!!!!!!!

…please, testiner….Corti is clearly stronger, even if Davide is very nice…I bet you're drinking less…are you influenced? Look, I'll surpass you on the outside at Bucine if you continue with these comparisons...

ahahahahaha!!!!!!!! and I surpass you by being angry at the arrabiata1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes anyway I'm getting less excited…. my old man got a little scared…. 5 liters of good Aglianico in 3 days… he literally scolded me!!!!!!!!!! and to think that he doesn't know that at the aperitif they are jokes...

…ah, ah, ah…you're always the greatest…at least the two of us also post where there's no mention of the nurse…have you seen that the canaries are regaining strength and seeing each other again? We hope in two years not to hear from them again... or rather, in one...

as blind and deaf as they are (when it suits them) I can't wait for him to really retire... although I hope he takes a myriad of blows before that happens... but he's sorry... he's old for them!!!!!!!!!!!!! perhaps they don't remember that when they raced with 2-strokes they reached 500 in 30 years... but they who don't understand will say that the 500 was less demanding.

    Hello ;-)

    Permit… ;-);-)

I like Giugliano too, in the wet it's spectacular.

On Aprilia he could aim for the title.

    We will see…

    @Testoner

    Hi Cumpà ;-);-)

I didn't expect this from you, from Fatman yes but from you...

Can't wait for Vale to retire..., I know you don't like him but he's still a rider and of a certain level.

Whether he wins or not, however, in two years he has the Yamaha SBK option, so... you already know that things will change in two years...

My opinion about you doesn't change, you're still the old one ;-) and dear Max but you surprised me ;-)

At least you're sincere and that's a plus.

@lyonn. in fact I wrote: as blind and deaf as they are, I can't wait for him to retire…. I relied on the fans... then you know I don't even have eighth grade!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not a great writer... but I have a great handcuff!!!!!!!!!!! to drink... ahahahahahaahahahahahaah come on, it's almost time for Malaysia!! and then we can talk about more sensible things, with the hope that the wheel doesn't go too fast!!!!!! I wanted to ask you a question?? what exhaust do you have under the tricycle???

      1. fatman said:

        …termignoni ah, ah, ah!!!

Until last week I had the Termignoni, yesterday I fitted the "Rigatone Barilla" racing double exhaust: compared to the termignoni I gained 1 km/h ahahahah

      Hi Max, ;-);-)

The tricycle joke is ironic ;-)

On the components as well ;-)

I have the bike but in 5 years I have used it 3 times hahaha.

You, like many others, will not share my opinion and that's fine, you have a motorbike, you go to the track and the adrenaline it unleashes is priceless, I think I understand even if I've never tried it.

I... I fell, without breaking, 1000 hard times in 48... I lost many friends on motorbikes and, above all... I'm a bit of a pussy on that side.

I care too much about my health (smoking and alcohol aside) and I'm already pissed off by a graze..., imagine that...

At the thought of breaking my bones or worse... I willingly leave the motorbike to those who don't have my paranoia ;-);-)

I'm a dwarf too (170 x 70 kg) but cute, humorous, a golden bachelor and fit.

Anything can happen, destiny... but as long as I manage to be its creator I will focus on other passions (modelling, cooking, travel and "delicious vegetables").

      ;-);-);-)

        @Testoner

... this does not mean that I cannot follow MGP and SBK with passion ;-);-)

And then... we have a great passion in common that binds us ;-);-)

      2. tester said:

I thought it was a joke... I can say that riding a motorbike makes you understand many things more. and passion also does a lot. but if you combine both... I think it's a good cocktail!! a stupid example.. every morning I get up at 4 to prepare the shop. do you think that in a shopping center the manager on duty who perhaps before doing this was a bricklayer gets up at 4 to display and prepare all the goods? ? no. and that doesn't mean he doesn't put effort into it, but it's simply not his job. and never will be!! a somewhat stupid example but just to make it clear that things are done and understood differently when experienced. hi lyonn and give me some tips for niky's tricycle (casey junior)!!!

    Ps:

I speak for myself and not for others: I could be wrong but I think that Vale is absolutely not old.

I think he can still have his say, the doubts come from other considerations:

    – he has won a lot and may not want to risk his life against idiots who have never won anything.

I don't think so, in my opinion the Ducati experience made him furious and gave him the right motivation to get down from the pear tree and start again from scratch (before he always started from 3-4-5-6-7-8-9) demonstrating that he is still the driver to beat.

The crux of the matter, in my personal opinion, lies not so much in the driving talent (he still has plenty) but in the head.

    Has it strengthened or weakened?

Will he want to demonstrate immediately at the risk of breaking up or will he still be the old fox we knew until 2010?

How much influence could it have had, Ducati aside, having fallen and getting really hurt?

Did the incident with your friend Sic have an impact on your mind?

If your head is still that of 2010... dear friends... it will still be painful for you ;-);-)

Sporting speaking: orphans and still suffering a winning Vale...

Never mind if only he always wins, oh my, what a p@alle ;-);-)
