It was a complicated Sunday of racing that Team Voltcom Crescent Suzuki experienced at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit, as part of a less than exciting weekend that saw it far from the top positions.

Disappointed in particular was Eugene Laverty, expected to redeem himself after the double zero in Assen, who after struggling to adapt his GSX-R to the challenging Italian track, only managed to achieve a seventh place as his best result in Race 1.

Despite not taking to the track due to technical problems in Saturday's Superpole, Alex Lowes showed a good level of performance in yesterday's two races.
A good start in Race 1 allowed him to recover two positions and ultimately finish eighth, after overtaking Haslam.
In Race 2 Lowes ran into a long shot while trying to overtake his teammate, which caused him to lose time and ground, ultimately relegating him to the edge of the top 10.

“Two difficult results for me and the team, at the end of a difficult day. The first race went badly and the second even worse, because I couldn't ride the bike. We need to understand where this problem comes from” - he declared Eugene Laverty– “We have a new electronic strategy to work on, to try to improve the behavior of the engine braking and this should be the best track to test on. Here the problem has presented itself so clearly that this is the only place where a solution can be found. I am determined to do well and return among the leaders at Donington.”

“The results weren't great, but the races went well! I gave my all in the second and pushed hard until the end” - he said alex lowes– “I went off the track in an attempt to pass Eugene, but the front locked and so I was forced to pass on the gravel. I lost 13 seconds, without that I would have achieved a decent result, but I tried and I will continue to improve. I really enjoy being in this championship and my level of knowledge of the GSX-R has grown a lot. After the test we will prepare for our home race at Donington!”
