Hard-fought qualifying at the Algarve: Sykes and Davies will start behind him. Sensational fall for Rea which forces him to an eighth place.

Yet another extraordinary pole for Davide Giugliano, the fifth in his career, who takes first place on the starting grid for the two races of the seventh round scheduled for tomorrow at the Autodromo do Algarve in Portimao, with a good time of 1'41.764 , four tenths slower than Tom Sykes' best lap of the track (2013), preceding the KRT driver by 116 thousandths.

Teammate Chaz Davies completes the front row, third ahead of an excellent Alex Lowes, promoted to the second round thanks to a great lap in Superpole 1, Leon Haslam, unable to take advantage of the tire for some time, Matteo Baiocco (Althea Racing Ducati ) and Sylvain Guintoli, current champion and clearly improving after the good signs in Donington.

The news of the day was, without a doubt, the fall of Jonathan Rea, who slipped at great speed, during the second flying lap, at the exit of turn 2: an error, the first of the season, which relegated him to eighth position of departure.

Ninth is Jordi Torres who is unable to repeat the excellent performance of this morning's third free practice due to the still poor feeling with the qualifying tyres, while Ayrton Badovini (BMW Motorrad Italia), Leandro Mercado (Barni Racing Ducati) will start on the third row ) and David Salom (Team Pedercini Kawasaki).

Appointment tomorrow at 9am with the Warm Up, followed by the start of Race 40 at 11am, while Race 30 is scheduled for 1pm (Italian times).

...ahahahahaha, if I had written it I would have been whipped...but it's true, he completes a few races...Davies is much better but we Ducati fans are passionate about these sanguine riders...and then always better than the proctologist paramedic who falls on the straight at Laguna Seca!!!
