Bautista finally delivers the long-awaited success in a race at Ducati: in the Tissot-Superpole Race of the Pata Riviera di Rimini Round the Spaniard scores his 14th victory this season.

Alex Lowes and Haslam celebrate with him on the podium, followed by Razgatlioglu, Rea and Melandri.

Once the sun was shining again, Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), who had good sensations in the dry, managed to capitalize on the race and increase his lead in the championship.

The two main contenders for the title made an excellent start, Rea took the lead while Bautista, starting from fifth place, immediately set to work to recover positions.

At the end of the second lap, Bautista used all the power of the Panigale V4 R's engine on the straight to overtake Jonathan Rea and take the lead of the group.

In the final part of the race, a series of riders crashed: Sandro Cortese (GRT Yamaha WorldSBK) crashed at turn 16, but above all Rea crashed at turn 10, losing seconds and precious positions.
Sykes had a technical problem with just half a lap left in the Tissot Superpole Race.

Bautista thus gives Ducati their 30th victory at Misano and will start from first place in Race 2, scheduled for 14pm.
