The Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack in Imola is a historic circuit in the panorama of two- and four-wheel championships, where numerous records have been signed and broken.
Let's see together some curiosities to prepare ourselves in the best possible way for the Pirelli Italian Round, the fifth round of the World Championship of production derivatives, which will take place this weekend.

.At the moment, Imola is the tenth circuit to have hosted the highest number of WorldSBK races, coming close to Brands Hatch, Laguna Seca and Sugo who have hosted 32 each.
.Imola is the track where Spanish drivers have triumphed several times, the only one where they have achieved 8 victories. This result was achieved by Carlos Checa (5) and Ruben Xaus (3).
.The last 12 races held on the Emilian circuit have only seen British winners (Sykes, Rea, Davies), a considerable record which makes the United Kingdom the second most successful nation. The English victories came after three consecutive triumphs for Spaniard Carlos Checa, from Race 2 in 2011 to Race 2 the following year. The British started winning in 2013 when Sykes scored a brace.
.Jonathan Rea is the only rider to have achieved four consecutive victories at Imola with two different manufacturers Honda (2014) and Kawasaki (2015).
.Marco Melandri is the only rider apart from Davies, Rea and Sykes to have achieved a podium finish in the last three years, achieving a third place in Race 1 in 2017 and 2018.
.Jonathan Rea has been on the podium in the last 11 races at Imola, always obtaining either first or second position.
.Twelve different drivers have been classified in pole position at Imola in 16 race weekends. The only ones to have started more than once from the first spot on the grid will be on track, and they are Tom Sykes (with 3) and Chaz Davies and Jonathan Rea (with 2).
.Eight years ago, Tom Sykes achieved his first career pole at Imola. Another 47 followed, making him the rider with the highest number of pole positions in the history of WorldSBK.
.Last year in Race 2 at Imola, Rea equaled the number of victories achieved in the history of WorldSBK by the same rider, the 59 achieved by Carl Fogarty during his career.
.The gap with which the victory in Race 0.021 at Imola in 2 was awarded was 2001 seconds, the challenge had as protagonists Regis Laconi, who obtained his first victory and his first podium, and Rubén Xaus. The Spaniard took revenge two years later by getting the better of Laconi with a margin of 12"038 (Race 2).
