The Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team faces the Pirelli Aragon Round with the aim of confirming the good results obtained in Thailand, with Alex Lowes who was constantly among the top six and with Michael van der Mark who instead showed constant improvement, at his first appearances in the new team.

“I can't wait to get back on my R1 and start the European season“ – he said alex lowes – “Aragon is a track that I really like, and I believe that we can continue our good start to the season here. My goal now is the podium, I'm sure that if me and the Pata Yamaha Team do our job in Friday's free practice, we will have a good chance of being up front!”

Last year in Aragon the team demonstrated part of the potential of the Yamaha YZR-R1, so much so that it had two riders on the front row of the grid, and after testing some elements at the Spanish headquarters, in November, it will try to exploit those lessons this weekend.

“I'm really looking forward to this weekend in Aragon, it will be very interesting to see the progress we've made here with the R1 considering the first test I did in the winter” – he said Michael Van der Mark – “After the good performance in Thailand I am sure we will be ready to get a good set up for the race and be ready for great results!”
