Superbike Phillip Island: Niccolò Canepa is the best of the Evos"

Niccolò Canepa reiterated today at Phillip Island that he is the favorite in the new Evo Superbike category. The Team Althea driver in fact achieved the twelfth time, the best time of the Evos. Here's what he said at the end of the first day of testing for the Australian GP.

“This morning the track was wet and we preferred not to lap, while this afternoon the track conditions were very difficult and completely different compared to the two days of testing. The track was dirty and the wind was very annoying. At the beginning of the session I struggled a lot to find a good rhythm and only towards the end did I find the right pace to be fast. I tried the soft tyre, but I wasn't happy with it and I set my best time on a hard tyre. We had to work to adapt my Panigale to the track conditions, but without distorting it. We confirmed ourselves as the fastest in the Evo class and for tomorrow we hope to find a more rubberized track to try to improve and enter the top ten."
