Superbike Phillip Island – The British Chaz Davies, Team Aruba.it Ducati rider, closed the first day of testing of the first round of the Superbike World Championship with the eighth fastest time. He still has some problems in tight corners, but otherwise his Panigale R responds well. There is also the need to improve the grip coming out of the last corner, which is not the same as during the tests. The word is up to him.

“It wasn't bad today. I think we have improved in terms of the 'race set-up' and continue to make small but steady improvements as we did during testing earlier in the week. The bike doesn't corner effectively in a couple of tight corners, but otherwise I feel like it's very stable. We also need to work on the grip in the last corner, which today wasn't the same as what I had during the tests. We still have time tomorrow, so for now let's say things are going as planned.”
