In view of the summer break and next year's Championship, the WorldSuperbike teams are finalizing the final agreements with the riders who will defend their colors in 2016.

The Pedercini Racing team, which races with the Ninja ZX-10R supported directly by Showa, has recently made official the hiring of Sylvain Barrier, who thus returns to the premier class after last championship, left by the Motorrad Italia team after two rounds , raced in Superstock 1000 aboard the Yamaha.

“I suffered the serious consequences of two accidents at important moments in my career. The forced break allowed me to heal completely, regain the positive energy and determination to start running again” – he commented Sylvain Barrier – “I will return to WorldSBK with an available, passionate team of true professionals, where my requests will be listened to and respected. We will do great things with Kawasaki."

“This change of operational headquarters is the result of a logistical project aimed at structural expansion and technical growth that follows the dictates of electronics” – he said Lucio Pedercini – “We want to quickly be the winning reference for those who want to aim to be a protagonist of the race. With us there will be a rider who I respect very much: Sylvain Barrier".

While waiting to know the name of his teammate, Barrier should take to the track in Spain before the end of the year, for the first test with his new bike.

In addition to the Pedercini team, the Milwaukee team has also made official the names of the riders who will participate in next year's Motul FIM Superbike Championship: they are Joshua Brooke, fresh from the British Superbike title, and Karel Abraham, who has raced in MotoGP since 2011.

The team will have the direct support of BMW Motorrad Motorsport, which "will employ its experts alongside our team throughout the season, also working on engines and electronics" - explains the Press release branch of the team – “The German manufacturer will be responsible for the development of the motorbike, managing the sporting and logistical aspects during participation in the series”.
Another important contribution will come from Shaun Muir Racing who will give the colors to the team and from Milwaukee Power Tools as sponsor, who have extended their partnership to the project for three years.

“I'm excited about this return to WorldSBK and to be there with the same team with which I won the BSB title” – he commented Brookes – “I have never raced on a BMW, the vehicle and the manufacturer are of proven quality and will certainly be competitive. Having the support of BMW Motorrad Motorsport will be crucial to our efforts and their technicians will be a great help. We will test at the beginning of January, before Phillip Island, I can't wait to race in front of my fans."

“Moving to WorldSBK with a team like Milwaukee BMW is very exciting” – he commented Karel Abraham – “It will also be a challenge, I have never ridden a Superbike and a lot of it will be new for me; I'm sure we will be able to reach good levels quickly."

The novelty is a challenge for the whole team as team owner Shaun Muir explained.

“The support and enthusiasm shown by the BMW Motorrad Motorsport men gives great confidence,” says Muir. “They know exactly what it takes to be competitive and how to work, which made our decision to join them much easier. I am impressed by the great technical support offered to us, it gives us hope for a great debut season in WorldSBK."

Milwaukee is with Althea Racing, which made Jordi Torres and Markus Reiterberger official last month, the second team to announce its participation in the 2016 WorldSBK season with the BMW S1000RR.
