Superbikes | Pedercini Kawasaki announces Sandro Cortese
The German driver continues his adventure in the premier class of production derivatives.
Sandro Cortese continues his experience in WorldSuperbike also this season: Team Pedercini Racing has announced that he will be the only rider on the team.
The German has already won one World Supersport Championship and one in the Moto3™ class. This is his second year in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship and he wants to replicate the top ten pace that he already demonstrated in 2019, the year in which he made his debut.
Cortese's first season in World Superbike was full of satisfactions such as the top six place performance obtained in Jerez in Race 2 without forgetting that at MotorLand Aragon and in Misano he started from the front row after qualifying for the Tissot Superpole. The German ended the season in 12th position in the standings thanks to 20 performances that saw him finish in the top ten. Now he aims to replicate the good results obtained with a satellite Yamaha with Kawasaki too. Thanks to Cortese, Germany will be the 12th country to be present on the 2020 WorldSBK grid.
