After the perfect weekend at the TT Circuit in Assen in which it left crumbs to its rivals, the Kawasaki Racing Team now looks to the fifth challenge on the calendar, scheduled at the historic and demanding Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, a track much loved by Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes for his competitiveness and the commitment it requires.

Both have won on this track and obviously hope to celebrate again this year, in front of an audience that, despite the heated rivalry with Ducati, has always shown great demonstrations of affection towards them.

“I like the circuit and the atmosphere of Imola” – he said Jonathan Rhea – “It's usually the first European round where we find good weather. After these first races everything went in the right direction. Last year in Imola we encountered many difficulties and found very strong opponents, but this year our bike is even more competitive and I am curious to see how the ZX-10RR will behave. We are already working to try to have a good package for both races. Our bike is going through a better period than last year and this gives me a lot of confidence."

Ready to face the historic circuit, Tom Sykes he added: “My physical condition has improved and, fingers crossed, I should do a better job. This improvement makes me optimistic and I hope I am on the right path. Now let's look at Imola, where I have achieved good success in the past. After the recent performances, I am quite confident of having a good weekend of racing. We have a good package and in the end we go to Imola to fight."

We will see Rea and Sykes on the track together with all the other protagonists, on Friday 12 May starting from 9am with the first free practice session.
