Davide Giugliano 1st: “For now everything is very good. I say 'for now' because a race weekend is always long and difficult and in Superbike with all these great champions you never really know how fast you are going. Everything can change between one session and another. At this level, as long as you're in the top five or six I'd say it's a good result. I really like the track and, even though I'm not yet 100% after the crash at Silverstone, the bike and the team are helping me a lot and I'm happy with the work done so far. The important thing is to stay focused until the races.”

Carlos Checa 2nd: “We tested the tires and we are also working on the set-up because this track is a little different than the others, with different characteristics. We have to prepare the bike in a certain way, with a set-up that we have probably never used before. In the end Davide and I managed to do some fast laps with the soft tyre, perhaps in certain slow points of the track, where the Ducati has less difficulty cornering. But if we look at the race pace, we are all very close. I'm satisfied for now, but there's still work to do for tomorrow and there are some points where I'd like to do better."

Marco Melandri 4th “Good today, but the soft tire vibrates like hell but it will be better for the race.”

Max Biaggi 13th – in the photo “It's always difficult to find yourself chasing, especially at this moment in the championship. Unfortunately the forced pit stop in today's second session, due to a big problem, ruined our plans, we had to try some new configurations but we weren't able to proceed as planned. Tomorrow we will have to work, especially to find confidence with the front when braking.”
