Superbike: Marco Melandri “I'm confident for the race we will contest here in Aragon”

BMW also took to the track in Aragon for the two-day test, with Marco Melandri, Leon Halsam and test pilot Steve Martin. The three who totaled 287 laps in total, they looked for the best set-up for the next world championship race which will take place right here on Sunday 1st July.

The Bavarians have tried new pieces regarding the frame to improve corner entry and reduce chattering. They were also tested new brakes and also news electronic. Unfortunately the team's work was slowed down by the rain that hit the track on the first of the two days.
“Today was a beautiful day – said Melandri – we worked hard and finished almost all of our program. We only missed a few things that we had to try in the first day and we couldn't do it due to the rain. However, I am happy with my pace in the wet. I think we've found some good solutions. I don't know what the weather will be like next week when we come to race, but I'm confident for the race we will have here in Aragon. We did a good job ahead of the next round on July 1st"
