Superbikes | Leon Haslam will not race for the Kawasaki Racing Team in 2020
The 36-year-old English driver says goodbye after just a year: his future is still uncertain
In the rider market, an interesting scenario is opening up for the 2020 World Superbike Championship: Leon Haslam will say goodbye to the Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK at the end of the season after only a year of staying there, thus freeing up a highly coveted seat.
The reason lies in the mixed performance of the 36-year-old English driver this season: Haslam has achieved six podiums, always climbing to third place, but without managing to win or take a pole.
He currently sits sixth in the world rankings, behind Independent Kawasaki rider Toprak Razgatlioglu (Turkish Puccetti Racing), although the math still keeps him in the fight for third place.
The Kawasaki Racing Team has not yet announced the name of the replacement and Leon Haslam's future also remains uncertain, although his desire would be to remain in WorldSbk.
