Although thanks to his commitment and dedication the performance of the F4 MV Augusta has significantly improved this season, Leon Camier ended the 2016 World Championship without having managed to get on the podium, despite coming close several times.

In this sense, not even the last round in Losail, Qatar, allowed him to dispel this taboo: starting from twelfth position on the grid, Race 1 unfortunately saw him finish outside the points zone, while in the second, after a good start he lost positions even before the red flag, finishing 13th at the end of the second part of the race.
It didn't produce exactly the kind of results that he and MV Agusta Reparto Corse would have hoped for, but they were still enough to confirm the final eighth position in the standings for both drivers and manufacturers.

“I made a small mistake at the start and pushed hard to try to stay close to the top riders, but I pushed too much in the first corners and made a small mistake, losing some positions. It's a bit frustrating, but I'm really happy to have finished the Championship in eighth place. I thank all my team and MV Agusta so much, I think we have done an excellent job this season” – he commented Leon Camier.
