Superbike, Pirelli German Round, Race 2. The Lausitzring event finally saw the return to the track of Sylvain Guintoli, who was absent from the Imola Round due to a broken ankle suffered in qualifying.

The Frenchman finished in the top ten in Race 1, while in the second race, in decidedly difficult wet conditions, he managed to improve, crossing the finish line in fifth place.

Despite the difficult race management, also considering the physical conditions, Guintoli is not fully satisfied with the final result.

“Everything went well, it was a difficult race. At the start I had no feeling with the tyres, so it took me some time to improve my pace, and it wasn't easy” – commented Sylvain Guintoli – “I mean the bike was going really fast and went into corners well, even the chassis was fine, but the problem was at the exit of the corner. So I think fifth place is good, but I feel like it could have been better, so I'm not so happy."

While waiting to understand where he will race in 2017, the Frenchman will focus on the next round of the championship, which for him will be his home one: the Fassi French Round at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, in two weeks.
