Superbike, GEICO Motorcycle US Round. A little more than a week before the start of the ninth round of the world series championship, which will take place at the legendary Madza Raceway in Laguna Seca, the partnership between the Kawasaki Racing Team, reigning champion and current leader of ranking, and the Geico insurance company.

GEICO, already the title sponsor of the Californian event, also raced last year together with the KRT and will therefore appear again on the ZX-10Rs of Tom Sykes and reigning champion Jonathan Rea.

“It's great to have GEICO back on board and as the title sponsor for the 2016 Laguna Seca round” – he said Biel Roda, Marketing Manager of KRT – “The members of the GEICO team are true motorsport lovers and continue to invest in important projects. By supporting the Kawasaki Racing Team and our riders Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea back on the Californian track, GEICO gives us a second opportunity to try to reach the top of the podium after the previous races in Misano”.

Kawasaki has won four times at Laguna Seca: the most recent successes bear the name of Sykes in 2013 and 2014, while in 1995 and 1996 it was Anthony Gobert who triumphed on this track.
Rea aims to join them, having finished third in the last three years on this legendary track.
