The one at the Madza Raceway in Laguna Seca is certainly one of the most anticipated events of the season, especially due to the characteristics of a track that offers many spectacular sections, one above all the famous "Corkscrew" curve, a steeply sloping change of direction, capable of give memorable races.

For the Aprilia Racing – Red Devils Team, the Geico US Round marks the beginning of the final sprint, which sees it still in contention, despite the Kawasaki-Rea domination, for the top positions in both the rider and manufacturer classifications.
Both Leon Haslam and Jordi Torres share the desire to return to the track after the break: the English driver can count on a newfound physical form, after the rib injury that heavily affected him in the central part of the season.
For him, the characteristics of the track and the high temperatures seem to be able to work in favor of his RSV4 RF in chasing a victory that he has been missing since the opening round of Phillip Island.
In race 1, Haslam will also reach the milestone of 200 race starts in WorldSBK.

“The one in the USA is always a special race and also marks the beginning of the final sprint of the championship. I am confident both for the characteristics of the track and for the high temperatures we will find at Laguna Seca” – he said Leon Haslam – “Moreover we have been stopped for four weeks now, so I can't wait to get back to working with my boys and I'm happy to do it in front of the American fans”.

Jordi Torres is motivated, working hard during the summer break to face the last part of the season at his best from both a physical and mental point of view.
Making his debut on the Californian track, the Spanish driver knows he will have to quickly memorize the characteristics in order to then concentrate on the usual set-up work, but he is confident that the lively nature of the track should adapt well to his fluid driving style

“We arrive at Laguna Seca, a legendary circuit on which I am really happy to race. We will have to be good at learning it quickly and making the most of the RSV4 RF” – he said Jordi Torres – “The track is very lively, with successive corners, which could be good for my driving style. I used the rest period to work hard on my physical preparation in the gym and on my mental preparation for my first time at the "Corkscrew". I really want to get back on my Aprilia!".
