Jonathan Rea repeats the success of the first race and also wins Race 2 with authority: with Davies and Haslam out of the game due to technical problems, the KRT driver is increasingly alone at the top of the world championship standings.
Behind him again Tom Sykes, followed by Jordi Torres, splendid third and very happy on the podium: for Kawasaki this is the second one-two of the day.

Davide Giugliano achieved a good fourth place finish in a heat that saw him suffer a bit due to his physical condition: he started badly and only managed to keep contact with the leaders in the first phase, only to be overtaken by his teammate and from Torres.

Many retirements: both Pata Honda riders, Randy de Puniet and Leon Camier during the first laps.
Haslam's off-track exit on the ninth lap was spectacular but fortunately without consequence: for him a broken exhaust connector prevented him from completing a race that saw him fighting for the podium.
Chaz Davies was unlucky as he once again ran into a technical problem when he was virtually third.

In fifth place we find an excellent Ayrton Badovini who is proving time after time that he deserves the trust that the BMW team is giving him.
Sixth place for Matteo Baiocco ahead of Ramos, author of a good race which sees him on the podium for the first time this season.
Leandro Mercado, Michael Fabrizio and Alex Lowes complete the top ten: Suzuki still subdued and seems not to have yet "digested" the new electronic package.

With this result Rea rises to 215 in the world rankings and sees his lead increase over Halsam, the first of his pursuers with 87 points, third place for Davies with 123 who now has to watch out for Sykes who has risen to 108.
Rea ace-catch-all also repeats the fastest lap achieved in Race 1.

Next meeting from 22 to 24 May in Donington, England, with the sixth round of the season.
