Imola Motul Italian Round, Free Practice 2 – Chaz Davies makes no concessions and confirms himself in first place in the combined times of the two free practice sessions at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, valid for access to the Tissot-Superpole tomorrow morning, starting at 10am.

The time set by the Welshman, 1'47"014, is just three tenths of a second from the track record, set last year by Tom Sykes, who we find immediately behind him with the second fastest time.
The 2013 Champion stopped along the circuit with twenty minutes to go: still no explanation from Kawasaki and the silence is giving rise to ruminations, such as the failure of another engine after that of Jonathan Rea in the FP2 at Assen.
Obviously we are in the field of hypotheses and Sykes has in any case punched only two engines out of seven available, so the situation is under control.

Third time for teammate Jonathan Rea, followed by Leon Camier, who did not improve on the morning's performance like Lorenzo Savadori's Aprilia Iodaracing dropped to seventh place.
Fifth and sixth times for Markus Reiterberger and Jordi Torres.
Sylvain Guintoli crashed without damage at the finish line chicane and finished in eighth place.

Among the Superpole qualifiers we find Matteo Baiocco, immediately behind Davide Giugliano, clearly behind his teammate.
Disappointment also for Alex Lowes, eleventh, and the two Hondas of Van der Mark, 14th, and Nicky Hayden, 16th, in difficulty compared to their recent outings.
