For the second round this season, the Aprilia Red Devils team will present itself with three RSV4s at the start: among the officials Jordi Torres and Leon Haslam will make his second return as a wild card Max Biaggi who has already tested the track last week on the occasion of a four-day test.

The Laguna Seca event reserved mixed feelings for the Aprilia riders who therefore arrive in Malaysia more motivated than ever to go on holiday with a good result: Leon Haslam wants to exploit the characteristics of the Sepang International Circuit to return to the positions he deserves, without hide the desire for victory.
The first podium in Superbike, obtained in the USA, could represent a turning point in the season of rookie Jordi Torres who aims to confirm himself as the best rookie in the category.

We all know Max Biaggi's plan: to do better than the two sixth places in Misano.

“After having lived a dream in Misano, where I rediscovered the warmth of my fans and the adrenaline of the race, a challenging weekend awaits me in the second Sepang wild card” – said Max Biaggi – “During the tests I discovered the difficulties of a complex track, with extreme weather conditions, and having lost precious time doesn't help us. We will have to stay fully concentrated to make the most of every test session, the guys on my team will be subjected to great pressure and I myself will have to bring out the best. Growing from the Misano results won't be a walk in the park, but it's not the first time I've found myself facing an impossible challenge. I hope to have fun and give a show to the Superbike public."

“I was looking forward to the race in Malaysia. Laguna Seca was the most difficult weekend of the season for me, I want to return to victory and I believe that the Sepang track is the right place to do it" – he declared Leon Haslam – “It's traditionally a good circuit for Aprilia and I'm sure that Max's contribution will also help us. Now all we have to do is start working with maximum commitment from the first laps. Managing the setup well given the extreme conditions will be fundamental."

“Sepang is a long and very varied circuit. It will be essential to find a good braking setup, because there are many, and to work on the grip in the particular conditions of temperature and humidity" – he said Jordi Torres – “I like the circuit, as well as the atmosphere and the local people. I think Malaysia is a really beautiful country. After Laguna Seca I'll have to repeat myself on the same levels, I'm ready to hide behind the fairing on the two long straights!”.
