Waiting to see them on the track starting tomorrow, a large group of riders from the ENI FIM Superbike World Championship took part today, in the stretch of sea in front of the free beach of Misano, in an original pedal boat race, at the free beach of Misano Adriatico, on the occasion of the media event of this seventh round of the season.

To Loris Baz (Kawasaki Racing Team), Marco Melandri (Aprilia Racing Team), Davide Giugliano (Ducati Superbike Team), Eugene Laverty (Voltcom Crescent Suzuki), Leon Haslam (Pata Honda World Superbike), Niccolò Canepa (Althea Racing Team Ducati – EVO), Sylvain Barrier (BMW Motorrad Italia Superbike Team – EVO), Claudio Corti (MV Agusta Reparto Corse), Alessandro Andreozzi (Team Pedercini Kawasaki – EVO), Aaron Yates (Team Hero EBR) and Ayrton Badovini (Team Bimota Alstare – EVO ) were joined by World Supersport riders Lorenzo Zanetti (Pata Honda), Raffaele De Rosa (CIA Insurance Honda) and Roberto Tamburini (San Carlo Puccetti Racing), for a fun afternoon under the Riviera sun.

The challenge consisted of a stick circuit (a straight line from the beach towards the sea with a round trip), started with a run starting from the beach before getting on the pedal boats, from here on the way back, a new run towards the respective umbrellas and stopwatch stopped when they opened.
The drivers were divided into pairs, with the top three classified earning the right to participate in the last race: the teams of Corti/De Rosa, Canepa/Andreozzi and Baz/Barrier thus challenged each other to achieve the final success .
Corti and De Rosa worked hard to win... others focused above all on having fun and the Melandri-Badovini couple preferred to stop halfway for a swim!
This is the podium:

1 – Claudio Corti (MV Reparto Corse – YMS) Raffaele De Rosa (CIA Insurance Honda)

2 – Niccolò Canepa (Althea Racing Team) Alessandro Andreozzi (Team Pedercini)

3 – Sylvain Barrier (BMW Motorrad Italia) Loris Baz (Kawasaki Racing Team)

In the "commentary booth" for the event were DJ Ringo, historic voice of the World Superbike media partner, Virgin Radio, and Giovanni di Pillo.

At the end, awards ceremony based on food and wine products from the best Romagna tradition and autograph and photo session with the large and always warm audience present.
